True
Isa(as) "Jesus" is one of the best loved Prophets(PBUT). We believe virtually the same about him as the Christian believe, except we do not believe he died on the Cross nor is he part of a Trinity.
We do believe in the Virgin Birth and the many miracles. We do believe he preached the Truth.
Hello Woodrow Li...
Just a question if I may... If the Virgin Birth applies to Jesus, but not Muhammad... then how (if at all) does this play a role in ranking Jesus versus Muhammad? Are they equal? If so, then what is the significance or importance or "specialness" of the virgin birth? If the virgin birth imparts something to Jesus which places His importance above Muhammad... and since Jesus preached the Truth... then should we listen to Jesus rather than Muhammad? Not only that... how do we know Jesus preached the truth at all... or what Jesus actually said and preached... if the NT was corrupted so badly that Muhammad had to come? I'm not trying to be contentious... but those kinds of questions did pop into my mind, and so I thought I would ask.
Respectfully
Francis
Peace Francis,
All Prophets are equal. However each has unique qualities that relate only to them.
While there were many Prophets sent to all of Mankind we only Know the names of those revealed in the Torah, Bible and Qu'ran. Of all the Prophet's sent the 2 we seem to know the most about are Jesus(as) and Muhammad(saws)
As for the Bible being corrupted, it isn't so much it was corrupted but rather the way people followed it that became corrupted. Some interpretations have also changed, especially the Books in the Torah and Pslams.
As for the Word's of Jesus(as) very few were preserved, Even the ones that were we are not certain which are exact as they do vary from Gospel to Gospel.
While the Qur'an does contain some historical events that occurred after the last book of the Bible was written the actual Message was the same for every Prophet(PBUT)
It only remains in ti's original form in the Qur;an and can be summed up in a few short Surat.
