Who exactly do Muslims believe are prophets? Also why do they seem to elevate Muhammed above the rest?

Also are the psalms you accept the same psalms that are in the Hebrew Scriptures? And are they considered accurate in modern day?

We believe all the Prophets are equal. Muhammad(saws) is the final Prophet. He is called the "Seal of the Prophets" as there will be no more Prophets. Although Prophet Jesus(as) will return. We believe Prophets(PBUT) are those who brought the word of God(swt) to the people of all times and places. We do not know how many Prophets there have been but some scholars calculate there had to have been at least 134,000 The ones we know the names of are named in the Bible plus 3 the Jews do not view as prophets those 3 being John the Baptist, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be upon all of then) and Adam(PBUH) who some Christians do not view as a Prophet. Essentually the Prophets(PBUT) brought the same basic ideas of Islam which is the submission to God, his words and his orders. They brought the belief in a single God and the avoidance of idolatry and sin. Each came to preach Islam and told of the coming of the final law-bearing prophet and messenger of God: Muhammad . Each prophet directed a message to a different group and each prophet taught minor variations in sharia (or the practice of religion) to a different target audience. These variations constitute applications of Islam: mainstream Muslims do not consider them discrete versions of Islam. In Addition 5 Prophets are called Rasuls (Messengers) for their strong commitment and high level of perseverance. Those 5 being; Nuh (Noah) Ibrahim (Abraham) Musa (Moses) Isa (Jesus) Muhammad We do not place Muhammad(saws) as being greater than the other Prophets(PBUT) but we do believe the Qur'an is the only existing revelation that contains the actual words of God(swt) as they were revealed. The other books are not what the original oral revelation was, which is the reason the Qur'an was sent as a final chance to get it right. Some of my words come from HERE

Also are the psalms you accept the same psalms that are in the Hebrew Scriptures? And are they considered accurate in modern day? Neither we nor anyone else has the actual Book of Psalms. What exists in the OT and the Talmud. is probably not the actual words that were revealed. We do believe they may contain errors. Some of us do read it in the Bible but stay aware it may have errors or be incomplete or both. What we read that does not contradict the message in the Qur'an we accept as probably having been part of the original revelation. However there is no need for any Muslim to read the "Book of Psalms" as we believe the Qur'an contains the same message Psalms originally had. SOURCE

Can you give me an example of where the Bible and the Qur'an conflict other than the sacrifice of Christ?

Can you give me an example of where the Bible and the Qur'an conflict other than the sacrifice of Christ? In terms of General beliefs that is the only area in which I feel the Bible and Qur'an differ. In terms of specifics there are differences form the Qur'an in both the NT and OT Some examples will be such as which son was Abraham offering for Sacrifice But the main differences are over the crucifixion and death of Jesus(as). We do not believe either happened. We do believe somebody was crucified and killed, but we do not believe it was Jesus(as) We believed Jesus(as) was saved by Allaah(swt) and lifted up to heaven were he waits until his return to complete his life.

So what makes a Muslim believe the Qur'an is true? What is the evidence of it's inspiration?

So what makes a Muslim believe the Qur'an is true? What is the evidence of it's inspiration? We do not believe it was an inspired work. We believe it is the actual words God(swt) gave to the angel Gabriel and delivered verbatim to Muhammad. One of the main reasons we believe the Qur'an is not the work of any human is it's unique structure It is written in a form never seen before and has never been duplicated. One of the least of the wonders of the Qur'an are the numerical mysteries. Not all that important but quite impressive when one thinks about them and realizes Arabic was in it's infancy, Muhammad(saws) was uneducated and illiterate. This is a bit lengthy but it says it better than I can SOURCEJust one of the reasons I do not believe the Qur'an is the work of any Human.
