Well, the weather is vile. Late this afternoon the thunderstorms returned and the rain was torrential. I am slow as molasses at the best of times because if I try to walk too fast, I get a bad asthma attack. Well, when I left work I went slow but I got an attack anyway. Since I can't recover my breath easily sitting, I had to stand out in the rain for about 3-5 minutes. I have never been that wet in my life. I need hot chocolate, sooo bad! But who has hot chocolate around in late April? At least I can turn the air conditioner off!

So far we have officially had 16.50 inches of rain and it is still pouring. The lightening and thunder have moved on so maybe I can shower. I need to go to the store but most roads are flooded and many major roadways have been completely washed away. I am anxious to check on my house but I don't know if I will be able to get to it. What a mess!

We had snow this morning. didn't accumulate. Then warmed up and is gone slredy.
For a Change we had better weather than Maggie. A little snow that melts within a few hours is much more comfortable than rain that is like a waterfall

Well, my house appears to be fine but the weather has prevented the painters from working. Still they made amazing progress in the day and a half of good weather they had. It is just sad and sodden and gray out. Yet we are supposed to be all sunshine and 80 degrees by the weekend! I am about to run the heat for awhile. I am freezing!

Hah! We have had the weirdest spring I can ever remember. Mostly it has rained. Nothing but rain. We finally start getting back to normal and then this monster storm that brought y'all tornados dumped more water on us than even that most destructive hurricane Ivan, which did to us what Katrina did to New Orleans. I put the heat on before I went to bed. Then I got up at 3:30 a.m. feeling warm and put the air conditioning on. This kind of weather makes schizophrenics of us all.

It is still snowing on you?! We can expect occasional snow falls until the end of May. Although after May 15 is rare. ND has had recorded snowfalls in every month except August. In a typical year we get our last Blizzard in March and our last snowfall in May. Then the first snow fall in September and the first Blizzard in October. February is typically our coldest month, usually the temperature stays well below 0F for the entire month and the coldest reaching 35-45 below with wind chills of 75 below.

So do you like cold weather Woodrow? Where are you Maggie? When I left Connecticut in 1959 I swore I would never live any place it snows again. From then until 2008 I nearly always lived in the Southern states and tropical regions In 2008 I married a North Dakota Woman.

I prefer cold over hot but I don't think I'd like that much cold. If I could I'd move to Colorado. It gets pretty cold in the winter but the summers are awesome and I love the mountains.
Florida could be nice except for hurricane season. I don't know if I prefer tordanoes or hurricanes. I had an uncle that lived in Jacksonville before he died. He always had a nice tan.
