I just got back from Mass. It is All Saints Day when we celebrate the Saints-- the ones known to us and the many unknown who are with God in glory and who intercede unceasingly for us. Tomorrow is All Souls day when we commemorate the faithful who have died but are not yet with God in heaven. We (Catholics, though I am certain other traditions do this or something similar, too) put the names of our family members and friends who have died during the year into a book and pray for them in a special way during November. I put Nancy Verhelst's name in our book. I hope and trust there are still believers in Belgium and elsewhere who have done likewise.
There are so many lonely, unloved people around us. Most of the time we just don't see them. Perhaps you, dear believing Reader, will pray for Nancy to find the joy with God that she could not find on earth.
