Hi everyone,
i get in trouble for this alot, but: it's my opinion that Jehovah's Witnesses are some of the conscientious Christians that i know! it was meeting with a Jehovah's Witness, way back in the early '80s, that put me on my quest to discover what God's word really is. we come to different conclusions, but i know that if Jehovah's Witnesses find some scripture that is "difficult", they don't ignore it like some other may. IF they believe something is the word of God, they follow it!
i think that is waaaaay coool. it isn't an easy thing to do, and they take a lot of criticism for it!
they DO what they think is correct, instead of changing what they think "correct" is.
that takes guts!
that takes courage!
that takes dedication!
it's impressive!
much respect!
Peace, Love and Joy!

I mostly agree. I think they are wrong about some very important matters but their zeal to study and apply scripture and their personal integrity are completely admirable.

Yes that is partly what attracted me to them also. A lot of people get hung up on some of their doctrines thinking that this is the central focus of a JW, but it is not. A JWs focus is really about coming closer to God, not only through knowledge but through action. And when it comes to overcoming obstacles in life they are very good about searching the Bible and sharing practical advice about overcoming them.
