Well, I found out today that the two banks holding the mortgages on the house have accepted my offer. HUD still has a piece to do but that should not be a problem. I have buyer's remorse big time and it makes no sense. The market here has heated up and nothing new has hit the MLS listings in the month since I made the offer--always excepting a couple of unimpressive foreclosures. I am in the neighborhood I want to be in... So my attitude is perplexing.

I think there is always a bit of remorse, anxiety and fear connected with every house purchase. It is one of the biggest events we do in our life, and probably in terms of anxiety comparable to marriage.
Sit back and relax, it all works out in the end. No matter what we buy as a house, it is our input that turns it into a home. Until we put our personal touches into a house it is only a building, but once we make it into a home, the fears and uncertainty vanish.
