I am having the world's worst time getting back to our discussion, Illusion. I am afraid that I have been seriously distracted by the need to do a number of things long distance in order to finalize the sale of my out of state house. I never would have guessed that buying a stove long distance, for example, would become a project on the order of launching the space shuttle. In any case, we are closing on the 26th and I will be spending a lot of time and energy getting things ready.
But I haven't forgotten! Until the day comes that we can talk seriously again, why don't you come join us in the chat box which is our silly place? It would give all of us a chance to get to know each other on a personal level. We pretty much talk about everything from cat diarrhea (I kid you not) to our jobs to ??? You are very welcome to come over!

Please, take time to take care of everything. It sounds like you have lot going on. I've had a really busy week too with everyone in my house getting sick. Hope that everything goes well with your house. If I see anyone on chat, I'll stop in had say hi. I work off hours and most people are asleep when I'm on. I usually don't get home from work until after midnight.

Haven't seen you to say hello in an age. I hope you haven't forgotten our topic! I am brushing up on my Aquinas so I can get the 5 ways right. We can also switch to another topic if something has caught your interest in the meantime.

Hey. Sorry, I haven't been that active here. The past two weeks have been a little rough. Both my kids had the flu, then the next week, my wife and I had the flu. This last weekend we finally got past being sick, but have been busy with other things. Instead of coming home from work and getting online, I've been coming home and going straight to bed.
I see that you seem to have settled the estate sale, or nearly settled. I hope all is going well with that. I would love to have a conversation on the 5 ways, or anything else you might have an interest in. It might be worth while to start a thread to explain our background with religion. That would at least give each other an idea where we are coming from.
I still haven't had much luck getting members on the forum I started. Even the initial group I generally interact with would much rather continue using Facebook as a makeshift forum instead of switching to an actual forum. I think the main key is finding others that share an interest in these topics. And, that might be easier said then done.
Well, in any case. I'll continue to check in here. Although, I do expect to be busy with Thanksgiving this weekend. So, my interaction online will probably be limited. Hope the best for you and yours over the Holiday.

Yes, I think the Thanksgiving holidays, even without the flu would be a hard time to start up a serious or demanding topic. I love the idea of us writing our "spiritual autobiographies"! There is already a thread called "personal testimonies" that would be appropriate or, if I don't like it for some reason, I will do a spiritual autobiography thread. I think everyone should participate who wants to.
The problem you are having growing your forum is the same one we and just about every other new one is having. I think you have identified the cause too. There are so many social media outlets that are less "demanding" than a forum. It is possible that the forum has become old hat and the future is elsewhere. Still, if we get a small circle of people in our forums who are willing and able to talk on our topics of interest, it is still worthwhile.
If I don't "see" you til after Thanksgiving, have a peaceful, fluless holiday!
